Car seat buggy 2 in 1 combines two of the most important pieces of baby gear including the infant car seat and the stroller. It makes it much easier to take public transportation (and walk up and down stairs).
Doona's infant car seat and stroller combo is a great option. It's the first integrated travel system that allows you to change from the car seat to the stroller 2 in 1 without disturbing your baby.
Simple to use
Parents should have a car seat and stroller combination that is easy to use. These systems allow you to effortlessly change between running errands, or walking the dog before going for an outing. You can also adapt to the changing needs of your child, so you can take your family on adventures. Our testers are impressed by the ease and speed with which these travel systems glide regardless of whether they have a single front wheel or a swiveling front wheel. The Thule Urban Glide 2 in 1 travel system Combo and the BOB Alterrain Pro combo are especially easy to maneuver and even the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo can be moved easily with a single hand.
Some models are difficult to attach or detach from the base, though. The Doona Combo requires a two step process for attachment, as well as straps that cover the bottom of the infant carrier. It is tempting to skip these steps, but this could lead to dangerous outcomes.
Similarly some models are hard to fold away and store and store away, making them less convenient than others. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for instance, is hard to fold due to its massive dimensions and bulky frame. The model also has a small canopy that some test users find disappointing. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is easy to fold with just one button and a pull of the lever. This model is a great option for parents who wish to use their car seat in other people's vehicles, since it is able to be removed from the base.
Easy to Fold
It should be easy to unfold and fold the car seat, no matter if you're storing it in your trunk or the closet. The most effective combinations we've tested feature an easy fold that's one-handed and durable enough to be used on long strolls. They're also easy to maneuver, moving effortlessly over bumps and uneven surfaces. Some combos can only be connected and removed using straps. This can feel like a second step pram and pushchair 2 in 1 could make it harder for parents to secure their child's car seat properly.
The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is a great choice for its sturdy construction and convenient features, such as a large storage bin that can be accessed from either the front or back. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it easy to ensure a secure car seat installation by simply connecting the lower anchors by pulling the straps tightly and then pressing the carrier into the base.
It's also fairly light and compact, making it a great option for families and frequent travelers with multiple vehicles. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 in 1 travel system pram Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 have also scored highly in our tests of ease-of-use. Both have one wheel that's simple to push with one hand. Both have a single front wheel which is easy to push (one-handed!). They also have a movable swivel wheel, perfect for running errands and shopping. The only drawback is that they're quite heavy and it's difficult to lift them up when you're carrying children in the car seat.
Easy to Assemble
Certain car seat and stroller combinations can be difficult to assemble. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the easiest travel systems to assemble. It even comes with a handy guide. Other models, like the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also relatively easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps: attaching the lower anchors, and using straps to protect the bottom of the carrier. It's also heavy, and it requires two hands to click the carrier into the base, then detach it from there.
In our tests, we took about 5 minutes to put together the UPPAbaby Cruz v2. It's a fairly simple process when you consider the time saved by not having to take out each piece. The toddler seat can be put together and removed easily on the majority of these models.
