WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade items your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists.
