1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They have top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the top model), they use smart mapping to produce precise floorplans and avoid household obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also feature Carpet Boost, a feature which boosts its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our bare floor tests and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology, so it's prone to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate rooms with a lot of people efficiently in our tests. Also, it doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of a room.
It's still a good value, especially if your home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and works when you're at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be swapped for one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba

The flex arm can be utilized to reach under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop that could complete the entire house with the battery at 66 percent left. It also did an excellent job cleaning a range of floors and rooms that had different flooring types, including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was excellent, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.
It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically fills up its base, and it supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen before on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
This mop and vacuum combination has a sleek, circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba unit than the boxy models of the competitors. It's also the only robot vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mops.
As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an easy mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud that could be problematic if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.
It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and better-looking. If you're willing to put up with a little more noise and some extra cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should satisfy most people.

It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time hazard detection but this was not foolproof in our testing and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.
The automatic vacuum cleaner cleaner comes with a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the autonomous vacuum works and also alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home depending on the degree of dirt they are.
If you have a larger home, you should consider selecting a model with a the option of cleaning zones or spots. This lets you inform the robot vacuum uk of which area of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice control. If you have furniture, a stair mode is also a good option. Also, a recharge and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum to take over exactly where it left off is great for busy families.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you'd imagine from its price. It is a good vacuum cleaner and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with one pad that has a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other mop cleaners for robots we've examined. It's also self-sufficient with a full-featured app and a self emptying base that is washable.
The iRobot application is designed to guide you through a mapping run which collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to prioritize your most filthy rooms to improve performance. The app also grants access to many options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to be caught by low thresholds and is a bit more noisy than the other top robotic vacuums we've examined. It also comes with an app that's less intuitive, and a smaller base station that doesn't double as a bin to empty.
