If you need to clean up messes quickly and efficiently, a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The best robot vacuums and mops that I tested had great navigation and mapping. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds, well as tangled wires.
They're also user-friendly using an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and check on how they're working on.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop and vacuum combination. It is equipped with the latest features. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile, and it picked up human hair and pet hair nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a miniature map of your house and a few on-screen buttons for manual control.
The S8's Dirt-Detection Technology allows it to change the cleaning mode in accordance with dirt levels. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas are given the first priority when mopping with a damp mopping pad.
The mop roller comes with several other clever features, such as docks that can be connected to your home plumbing system to wash and clean it without needing to refill the mop. You can also make use of voice commands using the S8's built-in voice assistant that can be activated by saying "Hey Rocky" to specify room cleaning, modes, and granular control options with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-off robot cleaner with mop vacuum with mopping capabilities the Yeedi Cube is one of the more flexible options. It's part of a plethora of robot vacuums with combo features that also feature mops however it's priced at a lower cost than many of the competitors.
As with most robovacs the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This involves establishing an account with the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, the robot can start cleaning and mopping easily.
It is important to remember that the mapping process may take some time, and the Yeedi Cube may need a couple of attempts before it can get an accurate image of your living space. The object detection feature is not perfect. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles but it was stuck on a rug with tassels, and needed to turn to release itself. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an appliance that can do it all.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in one home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping feature an inclination that is similar to hand scrubbing which results in floors that are truly cleaned and not just being swept. The detachable stick auto vacuum and mop is a game changer that allows you to reach spots even a robotic vacuum can't.
The model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa, and a few additional clever features. The RGBD sensor upgrade is able to learn your home and offer the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. The app's smart feature allows you to customize a number of settings, including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging station at the end of each job to clean their pads and empty the dust bins, and put the debris in bags that self-seal. This helps keep the system tidy and stops allergens from recirculating. The battery longevity is sufficient to cover large areas without requiring a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that offers impressive features at affordable prices. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also features an unique mopping method robots that vacuum and mop utilizes a roller continuously spraying with water to collect dirt, and then dump it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without falling. It struggled with small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise is also quite high, which suggests it could be less of a "set-and-forget" model than other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, is equipped with docking systems that allow it to replenish its clean water, empty the dust bin as well as wash and dry the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easy and allows the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors in regular schedules. Eufy's app allows you to manage all of its functions. It gives an easy overview and a variety of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot mowers available, and it provides an impressive mix of mopping and vacuuming performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with a decent precision. The app allows users to fine-tune map coverage, create no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The main roller brush is also engineered to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which could be a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, which lifts the pads up when they're close to soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating them with.
The docking station functions as an automated maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops, then refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station features an integrated dust removal system that compacts dust and allows seven weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars cheaper than the S8, this robot does an excellent job at keeping my home office tidy and is able to take on the corners of my tight apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to build an image of your area, so it knows which areas to avoid. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that will stay clear of things like toys and dog bowls (but not the poop) unlike other vacuums.
Other great features include a self-emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and an extended side-reaching brush that is able to reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also alter the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping that can distinguish between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood with high-pile rugs. And, if you're looking to save time, it can skip mopping in rooms that aren't soiled. If you have a variety of flooring in your house and don't want to invest additional money for a Roborock that has advanced mapping features it is an excellent option.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking to find a multi-functional robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle both regular daily maintenance as well as touch-ups to messy messes that are wet, this robot is a good option. It comes with a variety of features such as a self-emptying dustbin and a separate dock for refilling water, as well as adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It's quite quiet, and it's able to navigate around furniture legs and socks with ease. It can't pick knots in the rug, and its battery drains more quickly than other models we test.
With a cost of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and useful automation into a sleek design. It didn't do as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it did extremely well overall. It also offers a range of cleaning modes to meet your needs, from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for light debris to the more robust 'Turbo' mode that is ideal for carpeted rooms. It will even remove and reconnect the mop pads, and not leave your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used even in small areas. It's extremely quiet and speedy and does a good job of maneuvering around tight spaces. It also does a very excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than the majority of its competition, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it can be configured to take photos of any object it finds (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they won't be taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and aren't linked to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, however it isn't as effective at mopping. It uses disposable wipes that clip onto the bot's bottom, and then drags them across your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
