If you need to clean up mess fast, a robot vacuum cleaner and mop is the best way to go. The top robot vacuums and mops that I tested had excellent navigation and mapping. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as wires that were tangled.
They're also simple to use using an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and check on how they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop and vacuum combo. It is equipped with the latest features. This top-of-the-line model is swift and agile it can remove debris such as hair from pets and human hair with a near perfect accuracy in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a mini map of your home and a few on-screen buttons to control the device manually.
Another notable feature is the S8's ability to change its cleaning mode according to dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will stop and clean its mopping pad more frequently when it comes across dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
The mop's roller has a number of other smart features, including docks that can be connected to your home plumbing system to clean and wash it without having to manually refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8 it is possible to use voice commands to set rooms cleaning options and granular control using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-free robot vacuum that has mopping capabilities the Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's part of a plethora of robot vacuums with combo features with mops, but is priced at a cheaper price than most of the competition.
Like most robot cleaner vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This involves setting up an account with the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've done that, the machine will begin to vacuum and mop with ease.
It's worth noting that the mapping process can take a while and it could take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate image of your space. In addition, object detection can be difficult to determine; it was able to skim over furniture and other obstacles but was stuck on a looser tassel rug and had to flip its back to release itself. These are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need an appliance that can do everything.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping system uses the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubs. This means that floors are cleaned, not just being swept. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an innovative tool that can reach places even a robot vacuum cannot.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction power of 8,700Pa and other smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app allows you to modify a range of settings including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum and the mop returning to their charging station after each task to wash their pads, empty their dust bins and place debris into bags that self-seal. This helps keep the system clean, and also stops allergens from circulating. Its battery life is sufficient to clean large areas without requiring an additional charge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop model that offers impressive features at affordable prices. It comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power and a rotating brush that is ideal for carpets and hard floors and a great obstacle avoidance. It also has an innovative mopping technique that utilizes a roller continuously misting with water to capture dirt, and then dump it in the water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without crashing. However, it struggled with finely engrained debris and was not always able to clear raised room thresholds. Its operating noise level is also high, so this model might not be as simple to set and forget as other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a docking systems that allow it to replenish its clean water tank, empty the dustbin and wash and dry the mop, as well as empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easier and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to a regular schedule. Eufy's application lets you manage all the functions. It provides clear information and plenty of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot vacuum cleaners best mowers and vacuums available, and it provides amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with good precision. The app allows users to fine-tune coverage of the map, define no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which is a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too it comes with Reuleaux triangular mops that spin at 180 RPM and can apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system also includes smart carpet detection, lifting these pads upward when they're near soft surfaces to avoid contaminating them.
The docking station functions as an unmanned maintenance center that automatically washes and dry the mops, and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station features an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust, which allows for seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
6. S10
This robot is just a few hundred dollars more than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my home office clean. It can also reach the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to create a map of your space which allows it to know which areas to avoid. And, unlike many vacuums that have mopping capabilities it also has detection of objects and obstructions that avoids things like bowls and dog toys (but not poop!).
It has other great highlights, such as a self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching brush that can reach areas other mops miss. You can also set cleaning schedules within the app and adjust the settings for each room of your home.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping that can differentiate between carpets, laminate and hardwood rugs with high-pile. And, if you're looking to save time, it will skip mopping in rooms that aren't soiled. It's an excellent option if you have a mix of flooring in your home but do not want to invest the extra money on the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a flexible robot vacuum and mop that is able to manage regular maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes, this robot is an excellent option. It comes with a wide range of features such as a self-emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, and adjustable settings through the app. It's extremely quiet and can move around furniture legs and socks with ease. It can't pick the tangled tassels of a rug, and its battery drains faster than other models we tested.
With a price tag of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly powerhouse that packs serious suction and useful automation into a slick design. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests of vacuuming however, it did well. It also includes a wide variety of cleaning modes to suit your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' option for lightweight debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' option for carpeted rooms. It also has the capability to remove and reconnect mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great mop and robot vacuum for people who live in tiny spaces. It's extremely silent and fast, and it can navigate tight spaces efficiently. It's also extremely effective at removing pet hair from carpets.
It's smaller than the majority of its rivals, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it can be configured to take a picture of any object it picks up (i.e. chew toys or socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they don't get picked up during future cleanings. The photos are secure, and are not tied to your account.
It's great for vacuuming, but not so great in mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes you clip onto the bottom of the bot and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mophead.
