The i3+ is a good alternative for those who want a an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the robot's dustbin after it has filled up.
Both robots excel at cleaning up surface debris from hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept at moving around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home to help the i3+ navigate and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots we evaluated the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can get stuck on things like socks or power cords, and may have issues in navigating through transitions between surfaces, such as from hardwood to carpet.
iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including getting rid of any clutter or toys it may come across.
