Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one go without the need to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal precisely what the robot vacuum uk has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs are required like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction automatically and clean them, without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

The X40 also has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like chairs and table legs. It can also get under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It will also tell you if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it spills.

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other Best robot vacuum uk vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list however it's not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors as well as in corners.
