BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost uses CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This stops thieves from replacing the ECU or adding an additional lock to circumvent the security system.

It is connected to the BMW CAN data network, and is programmed with a unique PIN code that can be accessible through buttons on your car. Service / Valet Mode

If you're at home and in a meet and greet situation the Ghost can be put into service mode. This allows you to start your car with your keys normally, but prevents the engine from starting until the correct code is entered. This is ideal for those who need to turn their cars over to valet companies or other trusted friends and family members. This allows you to take your car to the garage for maintenance or repairs, etc. without having to worry about it being modified by mechanics while you wait.

Once the service/valet mode is activated when the service/valet mode is enabled, your BMW will not be able to drive after it has been started. This prevents anyone else from driving the vehicle while you are away. After you return, the vehicle will be restored to normal operation and prevent it from being tampered or stolen again.

Ghost connects to your CAN data network, and utilizes the buttons within your vehicle (steering wheel and centre console as well as door panels) to create a unique push sequence that must be completed before the engine can start.
