The Dreame X40 Ultra robot vacuum and mop is the company's latest flagship model. It offers some distinct features that the lower-priced models lack. It is a top suction model and mop hard floors with a plethora of ease. It comes with a variety of advanced features like an auto-expanding mop heads and self-detangling brush rollers. The X40 Ultra offers automatic hoover cleaning of its base station and dust collector filter. The mop pads are cleaned with hot water and then drained, and the dirty water tank is automatically cleaned after every cleaning session.
It offers advanced options for customising the cleaning schedule, like selecting a time to start and finish each cycle or selecting whether it should vacuum carpets before mopping. It is also able to be instructed to clean areas that are particularly filthy and also increase its suction power around litter boxes for cats and pet food bowls. The X40 Ultra can be programmed to perform specific tasks at the touch of a button like cleaning the kitchen sink or bathroom toilet. It had a difficult time when it came across longer-pile carpets and also there were a few large, thick mess of dried-on debris.
Like all robots that are available, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box and needs only the initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. The map will be displayed in the app and you can add or join rooms as you need to. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you don't want your robot to get into.
The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotating mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to both vacuum and mop makes it a great choice for homes that have two types of flooring. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) could make it less adaptable than other robots that allow you to add your own cleaning solutions.
