Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customised using a specialized app to save your home's maps as well as set cleaning schedules and select mopping options. You can also alter the suction power and fine-tune how much water and scrubbing action your mop uses.
A mapping feature helps your robot navigate rooms and obstacles, while an obstacle avoidance feature will stop it from hitting furniture, wires or stray pet toys. These features are essential in my home, which is full of toys.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the flagship vacuum of the company and mop, is packed with features. It's able to both mop and sweep in one session, and it can even raise its brushes and mop pads to prevent soft surfaces from becoming too wet. It can also see and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to recognize pets plants, small objects.
The robot vacuum's maximum suction power is 6 000 pascals. This is the highest power of any other robot vacuum we've test so far. It also has PreciSense LiDAR navigation, which tracks its position, preventing it from getting stuck on objects.
The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad of more than 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has an automatic mop lifting mechanism, that will raise the pad as it moves from tile to laminate or hardwood to carpets and rugs to prevent getting soaked by these soft surfaces.
In addition, the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying functions. The pad can be cleaned and then dried with the dock, and the dust bin will get emptied and automatically returned to it. You can set it to forget about it. You only need to replenish the water tank or change the dust bag every now and then.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. I tested it with its standard vac and mop settings for approximately 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and return to its base to recharge. This isn't too far off of the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is in line with other hybrids I've tried.
It's a robust, well-rounded product. The only issue is that it's costly. The number of features make it an appealing choice for anyone looking to replace their old mops and stick vacuums. We would highly recommend this vacuum when you can justify its cost.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a top-of-the-line mop and robot vacuum. The premium price is justified by the robust features, such as a huge vacuuming capacity and two mop heads that rotate. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller and powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop combos available at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed admirably across the home. It was able to eliminate 98.4% debris on all types of floors and managed to lift hair that was long without tangling. The mops were also great, achieving great cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models, thanks to their rotational motion as well as an incredibly strong cleaning solution.
The docking station is the main selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The dock emptys its dust bin into a dirt bag, refills its water tank for mopping, and dry its mop pads for you. It features a real-time risk detection system, and its smart controls let you schedule periodic cleaning sessions.
The L10S Ultra does not offer superior carpet debris removal performance in comparison to the other hybrid mop I tested. The mops on the L10S Ultra aren't as effective in removing stubborn staining as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it still requires regular maintenance. To prevent the growth of mildew or unpleasant smells, the base station dustbag, water and tanks must be cleaned and emptied regularly. They also need to be dried. The mop pads that are sold separately also require changing regularly.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. For those who are on a budget, I suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money while still enjoying clean hands at your home. It's worth noting that even if the L10S Ultra is the Best robot vacuum cleaner UK robot vacuum and mop you can find but its high cost and maintenance costs will ultimately make it more of a wish than a need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're in search of a best robot vacuum and mop mop and vacuum that can pick up dirt and dust on your hard floors, while taking care of wet messes then you should look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac and mop combo packs an impressive suction force of 8,000 Pa and a huge battery capacity for both mowing and vacuuming and a top-of-the-line obstacle avoidance. It also comes with a roller mop that cleans itself as it moves and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that need to return to their base station mid-clean in order to rinse off the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is distinct from the spinning discs and microfibre pads that are found on other robots. Its roller runs almost the full width of the bot and is continuously dosed with clean, ozonated water from its dock. When it turns the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is removed by the side brushes, or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then discharges the mop water that is dirty into its base station, where it is sucked up by the tank's heating elements, and dumped into a larger storage canister. The onboard tank holds plenty of water, and it can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
The S1 Pro comes ready to use straight out of the box as do most robotic vacuums/mops. It does need to be filled with clean water, but this is simple to do within the cleaning dock. If you'd like to use your own cleaner you can include a cleaning solution to dock. If you choose this feature however, you'll have to purchase the Eufy-branded cleaning solution that is more expensive than other robot brands, allowing users to select their own choice of cleaning solutions.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and efficiency of navigation tests, just like the majority of robots. It was fast to map a room, and it was able to navigate around furniture. The only issue is that it got stuck a few times on longer pile carpets and rugs in my tests however this can be fixed when the software is upgraded. The S1 Pro is a very robust robot cleaner that is available at affordable prices.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry level mop and vacuum however it has some outstanding features. The dock's multifunction emptying the robot's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks, as well as washing and sanitizing mop pads is handled by the dock. The mopping system is capable of cleaning a good bit of a space before returning to its dock, and the vacuum's extreme suction does a nice job of removing dirt and pet hair that accumulates on carpets.
The application that runs this appliance is dense, with a wide range of options to customize the cleaning process. You can set it up manually to start a full map and take care to clean everything that is mapped by the device, or you can select individual rooms, expandable zones, or even a schedule you've crafted. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It makes use of the sensors on the mops to map out the space and determine the most efficient way to clean it.
The Qrevo did well in our tests, just like all the Roborock models we've evaluated. Its navigation system performs well, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning in an organized manner. Its 'Normal" pathing setting covers the room thoroughly, without any major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is also quite effective however it's not as advanced as the color camera system of the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect hazards like carpets with thick padding, but may not be able recognize smaller items such as electrical wires or rug tassels.
The machine has a major flaw: it does not offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for people who vacuum frequently prior to using their robot. There's a simple solution: the app offers a feature that lets you "clean up", at the end of each session. This lets you utilize the mopping function of the vacuum to get rid of the last traces of dust and debris left behind by the vacuuming. It's a nice addition, and it helps the robot make its clean better than its competitors with lower prices.
