Upgrade items are items that can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to boost their stats. You can obtain it by completing dungeons with high-level keystones.
Trainers will require an upgrade in order to evolve Porygon's final evolution, Porygon2. However, they can't just grab one by spinning PokeStops and Gyms as these unique evolving items have a low drop rate.
Components
In the field of computer technology the term "upgrade" refers to a replacement of hardware or software with a new version that offers new functions or features. Upgrades are usually performed to make the system more efficient and more reliable, or capable of handling larger quantities of data. Infusions are a second kind of upgrade item upgrade that can be added to non-ascended armor and legendary armor, in addition to some non-legendary back items. You can retrieve them using the tool to extract them or salvaging them with the Ascended Rescue Tool. A crucial point to keep in mind is that upgrading an item using infusions can cause the item to have a distinct name. For instance adding a Rune of Minor Vigor to a Tyrian Armor will cause it to display the name "Radiant Tyrian Armor." In the hover display the inscription will be displayed as an Inscribed weapon.
Glyphs
Glyphs improve a substat of a piece of gear. They can be found in a variety of places, but the most common place to obtain them is by completing Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. They are also available through the Faction Crypts. Glyphs in the crypts will only apply to certain classes, so be sure to claim only the ones that apply to your character. Once you have a lot of Glyphs, you can go to the Glyph Altar located in the middle of Teleria to spend the Glyphs. This altar will increase the value of your magical items by a certain amount, according to the Glyph you are using.

Rerolling

Sets
