Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are a great method of quickly cleaning up messes. The best robot vacs and mops I've tested are top-quality in navigation and mapping, picking up Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
You can also schedule cleaning chores through an app and monitor their progress.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and automatic vacuum and mop. It has the latest features. This premium vacuum is quick and agile and was able to pick up human hair and pet hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It features a sleek and elegant app interface with a mini-map of your home and buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
Another notable feature is the S8's ability to alter its cleaning mode based on dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas are given the first priority when mopping with mopping pads that are damp.
It comes with a range of other smart features too, including an alternative dock that connects to your plumbing to wash and clean the mop without requiring you to manually refill it. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8, you can use voice commands to control the cleaning mode of your room and provide granular control using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those who want an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free that also has mopping capabilities. It's one of the combination robot vacuums that have mops that are also priced lower than other models.
As with most robovacs the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get started. This involves establishing an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've completed this, the robot will begin to vacuum and mop with ease.
It is important to note that the mapping process can take some time and may take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. In addition, object detection can be hit or miss; it was able to skim over furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a looser tassel and had to flip itself over to free itself. These are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great option for those looking for an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do all of the above.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete provides a three-in-one cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping feature a rotating motion similar to hand scrubbing which results in floors that are truly cleaned, not just cleaned. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an absolute game changer that can get to places a robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum cannot.
This model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa, and a few additional intelligent features. The RGBD sensor upgrade can learn your home's environment and provide an adaptive obstacle avoidance. The smart app allows you to alter a variety of settings, including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging base at the end of each job to clean their pads and empty the dust bins and place the debris into a self sealing bag. This helps keep the system clean and also stops allergens from circulating. Its battery lifespan is long enough to handle large spaces without the need for a recharge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more expensive robot vacuums best vacuum and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It features a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotating floor brush for carpets, and a great obstacle avoidance. It also has an innovative mopping technique that uses a roller constantly sprayed with water to collect dirt, and then dump it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without falling. It struggled with small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also high, so this model might not be as simple to set and forget as others.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, is equipped with docking technology that allows it to replenish its clean water, empty the dust bin as well as dry and wash the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes upkeep easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on regular schedules. You can control all its functions through the Eufy app, which gives an overview of the system and plenty of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the Best robot vacuum cleaner UK vacuums/mowers that are available. It offers impressive vacuuming and mopping results. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can detect furniture legs and other obstacles with good precision, and the app allows users to fine-tune map coverage, create no-go zones, and customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush is designed to stop hair from wrapping itself around it. This can be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM while applying up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system incorporates intelligent carpet detectors that raise the pads when they're near soft surfaces in order to keep them from getting contaminated.
The docking station functions as an unmanned maintenance center that automatically washes and dry the mops, then refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also has integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of uninterrupted operation, unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their bins of dust every time they are emptied.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars less than the S8 This robot is a slick job of keeping my home office spotless and also take on the corners of my cramped apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to make an image of your home which allows it to know which areas to avoid. In addition, unlike other vacuums with mopping capabilities it also has detection of objects and obstructions that is able to avoid things like bowls for dogs and dog toys (but not poop).
It also comes with other standout features, including a self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water and a side-reaching brush that can reach places that other mops can't reach. You can also set cleaning schedules in the app and set custom the settings for each room of your home.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping and can distinguish between laminate, carpets and hardwood rugs with high-pile. It also lets you skip mopping rooms that are not dirty if you're looking to save time. It's a great choice if you have a mix of flooring in your home and aren't looking to spend the money to buy Roborock. Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is an excellent choice when you're looking for a robot that can handle regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for messy water stains. It offers a broad range of features, including a self-emptying dustbin, a separate water refill dock, and customizable settings in the app. It is surprisingly quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. It's not able to remove the tangled tassels of rugs and it's battery drains faster than other models we tested in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that comes with powerful suction and convenient automation, all in a sleek and stylish. It didn't perform as well in our vacuuming and mopping tests as the expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it did very well overall. It also includes a wide variety of cleaning modes to suit your needs, from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for debris that is light to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for carpeted rooms. It will even remove and reconnect the mop pads, without getting your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used in small areas. It's extremely silent and fast and can maneuver tight spaces with ease. It's also excellent at removing pet hair off carpets.
It's smaller than most of its rivals however it doesn't compromise features. It has good suction power and can be configured to take photos of each object it finds (i.e. chew toys, socks), and mark them in the app as 'not located' so that they won't be taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are encrypted and not tied to you account.
It does a great job of vaccuming, but it isn't as good robot vacuum at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bot's bottom, and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal with water reservoirs and will automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
