Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one go and without the need to switch devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The best automatic vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will show you exactly what the robot completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro automatic vacuum cleaner and mop and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum cleaner best mop and vacuum, is the newest version. Unlike last year's model it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without using pads. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to get under low-profile furniture, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice touch that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or separately. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, switch modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot vacuums uk is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a useful method to keep your home hygienic for longer.
There's a wealth of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are many functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of relying on a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
