The item upgrade is an enchantment that increases the base stats of certain armor or weapons. This includes tertiary stats like Leech or Speed.
A special item for evolution that allows Porygon2 to evolve and become Porygon2. This item can be found at Pokestops or Gyms.
Universal upgrades can be applied to any type of equipment and provide smaller bonuses when compared to other components that are specific to the kind of equipment.
Leveling
Upgrades allow players to upgrade their items by increasing their levels. The item's "guaranteed bonuses" are also improved by the level increase. Each level upgrade boosts a stat on the item upgrader by +1 and gives an additional bonus that is based on the tier of the item. These extras range from a +3 to a +1 bonus, to a random buff.
Each item can be upgraded a limited amount of times. After an upgrade, the item is able to be re-transferred to a higher-leveled item which is of equal or greater value.
This method is beneficial for Item Upgrade players who want to acquire equipment with a specific level of stats prior to purchasing an item upgrader that is new. The transfer system enables players to avoid the waste of upgrade materials and is easy to use.
Upgrade materials are gathered as the player clears their cache of content. They are used to improve or replace an item. Each item requires a particular type of upgrade material. Weapons require Destruction Stones, while armor requires Guardian or Harmony Leapstones. When an item is upgraded, these materials are changed in their names. For example, Stone Fragments becomes Stones and Harmony Shards becomes Life Shards.
Item upgrade items is important for enhancing the performance of a character however it is crucial to take into consideration the cost of doing so before making any upgrades. Each time an item is upgraded, the upgrade costs an amount of gold that could be better spent on an entirely new piece of equipment. This is why it is best to upgrade only the most important items in any given situation.
This typically involves upgrading the weapon first followed by the legs and chest before the helm. If the player is able to afford it then upgrading trinkets should be considered at this point to increase their potential to trigger. Upgrades to a premium Throne of Thunder item may be worth it due to the increased damage it can cause. However, certain trinkets aren't worth upgrading as long as they provide a significant upgrade in a particular build. This is especially true for some breakpoint gear used for high-value stats like IAS or FHR.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a mechanic that allows players to change the stats of a weapon, armor or ring based on the kind. It can be used to replace existing bonuses or add new ones. It can also be used to alter the power of the item's base.
Rerolling is a good way to boost your power in the early phases of the game, it's not a necessary element of the game. Once you reach your level 6 upgrade goal it is usually better to reroll and find the most effective upgrades or save up money to buy the next set of items. This will ensure that you have a robust roster when you reach your goal of upgrading to level 9.
The process of rerolling is similar to the level up system. Reroll tokens can be used to eliminate any Level Up option and replace it with a different one. However, unlike Level Up, reroll tokens do not reset the item's level. This means that when you reroll an upgraded item, it won't be at the same level and not receive the bonus.
Players can also make use of an additional mechanic, Eliminate, which will remove any level Up option they have on their weapons or equipment. This is helpful in the event that you have a poor gacha result or you want to reroll a five-star model. To do this, you will have to create a new account or sign up through social media.
In every town, you are able to visit an Occultist to alter the Aspects or stats of a weapon or armor. This is useful if have a five-star unit you'd like to improve, or if you have an elite four-star character that you are struggling with.
Rerolling tokens can be obtained through completing certain quests. They can be purchased from the Occultist at 300 gold or in holozons that are dropped in certain dungeons. You can then roll any weapon or armor by moving the icon with the lock to the desired slot on your unit's page.
Sets
A set is a set of items that have a certain amount of similarity. Sets are used every day. For instance an egg dozen or a group of friends. They are helpful for item upgrade organizing things and utilizing operations like intersection, union, and difference to manage them effectively. Sets are used in many different ways, from arranging music on a playlist, to assigning students grades.
In Nioh the game uses Sets to create special effects when players are wearing pieces from a specific armor set. These bonuses are called Set Bonuses and they can be superior to Effects. While it isn't explained why the armor sets have to be worn together in order to create these effects, they are a nice way to change things up when playing the game. The armor sets that come with Set Bonuses are available in a variety of locations throughout Hyrule and include the Dark Moon and Twilight Temple.
Each piece of equipment included in a Set has a number of Set Bonuses that are associated with it. You can identify which ones these are by hovering over the item and looking at the tooltip near the bottom. Set Bonuses are displayed in a box with the red border.
Some of these Set Bonuses are only available to a specific piece equipment. If you purchase the entire Phantom Armor set, you will get +8 defense (instead of the standard +3 defense that you receive with the majority of gear). Other sets are available only by completing certain quests or purchasing them from the Auction House.
It is possible to earn Set Bonuses on multiple pieces of equipment at the same time. For example, if you own the entire Kestra's Descent set and the matching parts of the Twinblade of Shadow you will receive the + version of the bonus set when you can match it.
Unlike Effects, which change each when you upgrade them, Set Bonuses stay the same, even as the individual pieces of equipment they are attached to level up. However, if an item is exemplarized to levels that are not enough the set bonus will stop working.
Set bonuses
Set bonuses are unique effects that can appear on a set of equipment that can give a bonus in combat. They grant a specific amount of a specific type of stat, like weapon damage, defenses, or even resistances. However, they don't stack; only one will be active at any given time. The amount of a particular stat is determined by how many pieces of the set have been used, so you could have three chests, one armour, and four weapons, for instance, however only the one with the most bonus will benefit you.
They usually boost the primary stat, however, they can boost secondary stats as well. Defence bonuses increase three defence positions and two types of defenses. For example, a five-piece Hundings Rage set will give you 400 defenses in your gear. This is a huge increase in your gear, especially as a melee character.
This is a great feature, and it appears to be one of the most popular features in the game. Currently only a few sets of gear have set bonuses. They are only available on the Test Realm. However, this number is expected to rise once the update is released. For instance, the popular 7 school-specific Dragoon's gear will have its bonus added to it when the update hits Live.
Set bonuses don't stack within a set however they can stack across sets. This is ideal for players who wish to utilize the most effective combination of sets. However, it requires a bit of planning. Set bonuses only affect the shell (not the armoring or mods) of an piece of equipment, so you need to be careful when putting them in.
A key point to note is that the strength of a set's bonus is not affected if you exemplar more than three levels below the minimum levels that are allowed for an Enhancement of this type. This rule doesn't apply to Purple (Very rare) Sets PvP Sets, Sets for PvP and Archetype Origin Sets. Their set bonuses will function regardless of exemplar level.
